Frequently asked questions
How fast will I receive my designs?
Most requests receive meaningful design progress within 48 hours. Smaller requests may be completed in that window, while larger or more complex work is broken into clear iterative deliveries.
How does onboarding work?
Once you subscribe, you’ll be invited to your Design Early Trello board. That becomes the home for your request queue, project context, feedback, files, and priorities so you can start submitting work right away.
Who will I be working with?
You’ll work directly with a senior product designer throughout the engagement. Design Early is intentionally built around direct senior-level collaboration rather than handing your work through layers of account managers or junior designers.
Is there a limit to how many requests I can make?
No. Add as many design requests to your queue as you’d like. Design Early works through them one active request at a time, starting with your highest priority.
How does the pause feature work?
If your design workload slows down, you can pause your subscription and resume when you need design capacity again. You don’t need to keep the service running during periods when there’s nothing ready for design.
How do you handle larger requests?
Larger requests—such as complex product workflows, multi-screen features, or substantial UX/UI work—are broken into smaller milestones. You’ll receive meaningful progress every 48 hours rather than waiting weeks for one large reveal.
What programs do you design in?
Most product design work is completed in Figma, including UX flows, interface design, components, variables, prototypes, and engineering-ready handoff.
How will I request designs?
Requests are managed through your Trello board. You can write the brief directly, attach Figma files or documents, share references and requirements, or link a recorded walkthrough—whatever communicates the problem clearly.
What if I don’t like the design?
Send feedback and we’ll keep refining the active request. Iteration is part of the process, and the work stays active until we reach a direction you’re comfortable moving forward with.
Are there any requests you don’t support?
Design Early is focused on digital product design: UX strategy, user flows, web and application UI, prototypes, design systems, and related product experiences. Work such as 3D modeling, video production, complex print or packaging, and long-form editorial design falls outside the service.
What if I only have a single request?
That’s fine. Complete the request, then pause or cancel when you no longer need active design capacity. You can return when another product design need comes up.
Are there any refunds?
If Design Early isn’t the right fit after your first week, you can receive a 75% refund. Completed work is not refundable, and refunds are not offered after the first week of service.
Can I use Design Early for just a month?
Yes. Use Design Early for a month, several months, or longer depending on your product roadmap and design workload. You can pause or cancel as your needs change.
